1. Over 80% of Commercial Food Service Burns are caused by Hot Liquid, Grease or Steam! The most important component to preventing burns is an Effective Liquid and Vapor Barrier. Make sure you have an NSF Certified Liquid and Vapor Barrier to prevent the majority of burns.

2. Insulation is the second most important part of any protective apparel. Make sure you have the proper amount of insulation in each piece of protective apparel based on the temperature you are working with.

3. Be sure to protect the body parts that are exposed to danger and don't cut corners when it comes to purchasing products that do not meet your exact needs. Oven mitts need to cover the entire exposed part of the arm and aprons need to cover the full length of the body. And don't forget the feet or face. ShinGuards and Face Shields are important products when working around hot oil such as fryers and hot liquid when making stock or soup.

4. Don't get burned by products that are not meeting your needs! Request only NSF Certified Protective Apparel.
